The stories I write for kids are a little quirky, usually funny, and always full of heart. Common themes include strong girls and sensitive boys, secret worries and tough topics, bicultural childhoods and LGBTQ+ families, witches, mermaids, a bit of magic, and a bunch of cats.
I'm also working on a graphic novel series about a female middle school rock band.
One day - if the stars align - I hope to illustrate, as well. (I’m currently finishing up a Children’s Book Illustration certificate program through UC-San Diego.)

Every summer Oliver goes to visit his grandparents in Iowa, as well as his abuelos in Spain. In this story, he compares and contrasts the two experiences. But no matter where he is, one thing is always the same - how much he is loved!
